Alhamdulillah, Allah is still giving me the opportunity to stay as a SAHM. Alhamdulillah, He has given us a terrific and peaceful house to reside and call home. Alhamdulillah He is still giving us a healthy life and insyaAllah a new addition coming soon. We really cant thank you enough O Allah for all these ni'mat bestowed upon us. *amin*
Dears, I have learnt that my greatest mistake was, I did not know how to value - TIME.
The past year as a SAHM, I had let my days gone by without achieving anything at all! I would tend to put off even my daily chores to another day, and when the other day comes, to yet another day ( you could see heaps of laundry lying on the dining table! Ironing was/is my least favourite thing). In my mind, there is always tomorrow, its not like I have anything to do, right.
Well, that was where I was totally WRONG! There is no tomorrow. There is only NOW! I have realized that now. Whenever you felt like putting off something to another time, stick in your mind that maybe there is no later, maybe there is no tomorrow. So what you really truly have in hand is only NOW. Do not come up with excuses to justify your habits of putting things off. When there's a will, there will be a way, insyaAllah. Only then, you can see that you are able to achieve more than you ever expected. It makes you feel real good too! And feeling good is a kickstart to a positive life with a positive attitude and outlook. It just make you want to achieve more and more, insyaAllah!
Plan everything! But remember, we can only plan but its Allah's will to make it happen. Plan, do'a then tawakkal. Thats the way I think it should be. You may want to plan you goals, your daily routine, your daily menus, your daily reading materials, your daily additional ibadah (zikir, reading Quran), and you will see that being planned and organized is the way to accomplish everything. You do not have to be rigid though. I am not a good planner-follower myself. But I have noticed that by planning, I can really see what I have to do ( I prefer to pen it down) , it really makes it easier for things to be done. Like planning ahead for a month meal. You can source out for new recipes, saves the headache of "what to cook today??", pre-prepare for tomorrow's menu maybe, planned menu will also make it easier for you to list down your groceries list! So no more running out of coconut milk when I want to cook LEMAK CILI PADI, furthermore a lazy person like me who is absolutely LAZY to go out even though there is a small grocery shop near my house. * cant seem to kick this particular lazybug away*
No matter what you do in life, always have a goal set in front of you to achieve. Do not forget also the goal for the afterlife. Do not be afraid to set it high. You may be surprised at what you can actually achive, as long as you take care of your time, your relationship with God, your attitude in life. Don't despair if you have to face with failure, always always look at the bright side ( there is a hikmah behind everything), and always have good intention (husnuzzan) towards Allah. There is this beautiful article by KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar ( I just love his manner of da'wah) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/syiar-islam/message/23883. Do read it. No, not tomorrow or even later. Read it now.
